There is no relationship between cervical hypertrophy and celiac disease. Cervical hypertrophy is a disease formed when the cells of the cervix are stimulated by inflammation and increase in size, resulting in hypertrophy of the entire volume of the cervix. In most cases, cervical erosion is a normal physiological phenomenon due to the displacement of the columnar epithelium of the cervix and is not a disease, but some cervical erosion is caused by inflammatory irritation of the cervix. So both cervical erosion and cervical hypertrophy are sometimes caused by inflammation. In case of cervical hypertrophy and cervical erosion, pre-cancerous screening of the cervix, i.e. TCT and HPV testing, is required. If it is determined to be caused by inflammation, vaginal anti-inflammatory treatment with Povidone-based suppositories and Kangwon-based gel can be applied. If precancerous lesions of the cervix are present, colposcopy is needed to remove the cervical tissue to confirm the diagnosis and, if necessary, to perform conization surgery to remove the diseased tissue.
