Treatment of premature beats

The treatment of premature beats varies according to the severity of the patient’s condition. Patients with mild premature beats can be followed up and observed, while patients with too many premature beats can be treated with medication, and radiofrequency ablation can be considered if the patient’s medication is ineffective or if he/she has other heart diseases. 1. Patients with mild and occasional premature beats: For patients with occasional premature beats or patients with a small number of premature beats, no special treatment is needed, and only attention to follow-up observation is enough. 2. Patients with symptoms: If the number of premature beats increases and is accompanied by symptoms such as panic attacks, anti-arrhythmic drugs can be taken. If the diagnosis of ventricular premature beats is confirmed, propafenone hydrochloride can be taken. For atrial premature beats, metoprolol can be taken. 3. Patients with frequent premature beats and ineffective medication: If the patient has too many premature beats and does not get better with medication, surgical treatment such as radiofrequency ablation can be performed. In addition, patients with other heart diseases complicated by premature beats can also be treated with radiofrequency ablation. The specific treatment for patients with premature beats should be determined by the doctor, depending on the degree of the patient’s condition.
