How should I care for my baby when he has a fever?

The normal body temperature of a healthy baby is 36.7 ~ 37.5℃ in the newborn and breastfeeding stage, and becomes 36.6 ~ 37.3℃ in the toddler stage, which is slightly lower. Usually the temperature will rise a little in the afternoon, and also after crying or after exercise and meals. If the temperature exceeds 38℃, then you should go to the hospital immediately. Before going to the hospital, do some home care, such as using an ice pillow to cool the head. If the fever is over 39℃, you can put ice cubes into a plastic bag, wrap it with a towel and put it on the neck, armpits, thigh roots and other places where arteries and blood vessels pass through, which can have a cooling effect. If the baby is sweating, immediately wipe the body with a wet towel and change the underwear, which also helps to lower the temperature. The food given to the baby should be easy to digest, if the baby has no appetite, no need to force. You can feed your child some water, crude tea or fruit juice to rehydrate in case your baby gets dehydrated.
