The pain may be caused by a fracture of the femur, which is more intense and is mostly due to trauma; injury to the femoral nerve, which can also cause pain in the inner thigh; or a tumour of the femur, which can cause pain in the inner thigh by pressing on the muscles and nerves of the inner thigh.
