It is common to encounter patients in the anorectal clinic who take some medications before surgery that cause excessive bleeding during and after surgery, resulting in unnecessary problems.
These medications should be stopped at least 1 week before surgery: 1.
1. anticoagulants: aspirin, bicoumarin, etc.
2. Certain contraceptives that affect blood clotting function.
3. Certain powerful blood-stasis-activating drugs.
4. Other drugs that affect the coagulation function.
