Breast tenderness during ovulation is usually caused by high levels of oestrogen in the patient’s body, but can also be caused by breast enlargement.
Patients should first be diagnosed by having an ultrasound of the breast. If mastopexy is ruled out, it is considered to be caused by elevated oestrogen, which is a normal physiological phenomenon and the patient should not worry too much.
