Difference between bronchopneumonia and pneumonia

Pneumonia includes bronchopneumonia. According to the classification of anatomical sites, pneumonia can be divided into lobar pneumonia, lobular pneumonia and interstitial pneumonia, where lobular pneumonia means bronchopneumonia, and bronchopneumonia mainly refers to the invasion of pathogens through the bronchi, causing inflammation of the fine bronchi, terminal fine bronchi and alveoli, often secondary to other diseases. After the diagnosis of bronchopneumonia is confirmed, relevant tests such as blood tests, C-reactive protein, calcitoninogen, and mycoplasma antibodies can be completed to evaluate the possible pathogenic microorganisms of infection. If the patient has bronchopneumonia due to a bacterial infection, treatment with antibiotics is required. If the patient has bronchopneumonia due to an atypical pathogen, a macrolide antibiotic, or a quinolone antibiotic is required.
