Difference between prolapse and hemorrhoids

Prolapse is generally referred to as rectal prolapse and is distinguished from hemorrhoids by definition, etiology, and presentation. 1. Definition: rectal prolapse refers to the rectal wall partially or completely downward displacement, will be out of the anus. Hemorrhoids are formed when the anal cushion is congested and hypertrophied and moved downward or the subcutaneous venous plexus on the distal side of the dentate line is pathologically dilated. 2. Etiology: the etiology of rectal prolapse is not completely clear, mainly associated with anatomical factors such as early childhood dysplasia, constipation and other increased abdominal pressure. The etiology of hemorrhoids is mainly related to the displacement of the anal cushion and perianal venous dilatation and stasis. 3. Performance (1) Rectal prolapse: it manifests as prolapse of rectal mucosa from the anus. With the development of the disease, anal incontinence may occur. (2) hemorrhoids: internal hemorrhoids are often manifested as bleeding and prolapse of hemorrhoidal nuclei. External hemorrhoids are often manifested as anal discomfort, wetness and uncleanliness, foreign body sensation in the anus and so on. May be accompanied by perianal itching, defecation difficulties, etc.. If you have the above discomfort symptoms, it is recommended that patients go to the regular hospital in time, clear diagnosis, give reasonable treatment, to avoid delaying the condition.
