Is blood pulling a hemorrhoid or rectal cancer?

Blood in the stool can be either hemorrhoids or rectal cancer. The way to differentiate between the two is not to rely solely on blood in the stool, but also to conduct professional examinations such as rectal fingerprinting and proctoscopy.
Hemorrhoids are divided into three types: internal hemorrhoids, external hemorrhoids, and mixed hemorrhoids. The main clinical manifestations of internal hemorrhoids are bleeding and prolapse of internal hemorrhoids; the main manifestation of external hemorrhoids is anal discomfort, such as itching or pain; and mixed hemorrhoids contain both symptoms of internal hemorrhoids and external moles.
Clinical manifestations of rectal cancer mainly include rectal irritation, bleeding from cancerous tumor, narrowing of intestinal lumen, and symptoms caused by cancer invading surrounding tissues or distant metastasis.
The clinical symptoms of the two are the same, so it is necessary to rely on the rest of the examination to distinguish between them, such as rectal fingerprinting and proctoscopy.
Hemorrhoids in the rectal fingerprinting, feel the general is dark red, round, soft texture of the blood vessels mass; while rectal cancer feel the general is uneven mass, touch the texture of hard, finger with bloody mucus. The two can also be distinguished more visually with the help of proctoscope.
If you have the symptom of blood in stool, please do not self-diagnose or blindly use medicine on your own, go to the hospital in time, make a clear diagnosis after detailed examination and give reasonable and standardized treatment.
