How long does thyroid cancer surgery take?

As the most common malignant tumor of thyroid gland, the pathological types of thyroid cancer include papillary carcinoma, follicular carcinoma, medullary carcinoma and undifferentiated carcinoma, and the proportion of undifferentiated carcinoma is very low, so surgery is usually not recommended. In contrast, surgery is preferred for papillary, follicular and medullary carcinomas when there are no distant metastases, and after radical thyroid cancer resection, the long-term prognosis is mostly curable.
