Increased lung texture does not necessarily mean that you have lung cancer. There are many conditions that cause increased lung texture, some of which are pathological and some of which are physiological.
Physiological ones such as the lung texture of the elderly will thicken with age. After hot weather or strenuous exercise, the blood circulation in the lungs will be accelerated, which will also show the thickening of lung texture.
Pathological ones mainly include infectious diseases of the lungs, lung congestion, lung stasis and pulmonary edema caused by heart disease, and certain lymphatic system diseases, which also affect the lymphatic tissue of the lungs and cause increased lung texture. Lung cancer will not appear as lung texture thickening in ordinary chest X-ray. A more typical image of lung cancer should be nodular shadow, mass shadow or small piece of ground glass-like shadow.
Further examination must be done to confirm the diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible according to the specific examination results.
