Can keratomileusis really cure myopia completely?

It only acts as a flattening of the cornea and does not fundamentally reverse myopia. Myopia is a state in which the focus of parallel light rays refracted by the entire refractive system of the eye falls in front of the retina on a relaxed, unadjusted basis. True myopia is most often associated with an increase in the axis of the eye. Corneal shaping lenses flatten the cornea through a special shape, thus playing a role in changing the corneal refraction, causing a change in the refractive power of the eye to offset myopia, independent of the eye axis. Once you stop wearing them, your eyes will still regain their previous refractive power. The best way to treat myopia is to undergo excimer laser surgery. Night-wear keratomileusis, which is worn at night while you sleep, can achieve normal vision the next morning, but if you don’t wear it at night, you won’t achieve this effect, which means it can relieve myopia, but not cure it. These night-wear keratoplasty lenses are also different from the cheaper contact lenses sold on the market, which are generally available in general hospitals and specialized eye hospitals.
