What is the presence of infusion

At present, many people are infused with fluids when they have a little problem, thinking that they will get well faster once they are infused. This is not necessarily the case.
Infusion has many disadvantages and unintended consequences.
  1. Sterilization
At present, the disinfection of hospital infusion is with iodine volt, if the infusion in the regular hospital, disinfection should not be a problem, but most patients are in small clinics infusion, the general situation is to use the hands with alcohol cotton ball disinfection, if the hands are not disinfected, the alcohol cotton ball held is not contaminated? Moreover, whether the alcohol is medical alcohol has to be discussed separately. Zhao Lixin, Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Second Hospital of Chifeng City
  2. Cost
If you take medicine orally, it is rarely more than 10 yuan per day, but if you take an infusion, 10 yuan per day is not enough. The medicine and liquid used plus the infusion tube and infusion fee must be at least 20 yuan, because the infusion fee is at least 5 yuan.
  3.Pain
Needles need to be stuck every day, and many times the infusion is not done in one go.
  4.Inconvenience
Finding someone for infusion or going to the clinic, and needing someone to accompany you.
  5.Particle accumulation
Improper order of dispensing can also increase particles or even exceed the standard. The dispensing is contaminated by air and dust particles, and the dispensing needle is too large, resulting in the rubber of the infusion plug entering the infusion, leading to an increase in infusion particles.
  6.Infusion reaction
Often caused by the input of thermogenic substances (thermogenic, dead bacteria, free bacteriophage protein or impure drug components), imperfect cleaning and disinfection of infusion bottles or contaminated again; input liquid disinfection, poor storage deterioration; infusion tube surface adherence sulfide; related to the added drugs: ① added drug quality is not qualified, but also easy to cause infusion reactions. ②Added drug dose is too large, the concentration is too high, also easy to cause infusion reaction. ③Added drug and infusion fluid physical changes or decomposition, polymerization, etc., thus leading to a decrease in efficacy and triggering infusion reactions. ⑤ Improperly formulated herbal injections can produce a large number of insoluble particles, thus increasing the incidence of infusion reactions.
  7.Heart failure, pulmonary edema
The cause is due to rapid drip rate and excessive fluid input in a short period of time, resulting in a rapid increase in circulating blood volume and overburdening the heart.
  8, phlebitis
Chemical inflammatory reaction of local vein wall caused by long-term infusion of highly concentrated and irritating drugs, or long time of placing irritating plastic tube in the vein; it can also be caused by local vein infection due to poor aseptic operation during infusion.
  9.Air embolism
Because the air in the infusion tube is not exhausted, the catheter is not connected tightly, there is a leaky seam; pressurized infusion, blood transfusion unattended, there is a risk of air embolism and death of the patient.
  10.Pyrogenic reaction
Thermogenic reaction occurs when the accumulated amount of bacterial endotoxin enters the body through intravenous infusion exceeds the body’s tolerance. When the amount of bacterial endotoxin entering the body reaches a certain amount, the patient will have a pyrogenic reaction.
  11.Allergic reaction
Most antimicrobials can cause allergic reactions, and some drugs can cause allergic reactions only after a few days of infusion, which is a chronic allergic reaction; while some drugs can cause acute allergic reactions, and serious cases can cause death if not rescued in time.
Therefore, if the disease can be solved by taking drugs, do not injections, injections can solve the disease do not infusion.
