Scars can be treated: don’t let it bring down your face!

Scars can arise for a variety of reasons and the treatments are all different. Today we will talk to you about some of the more common scars and their treatment.
First, a few concepts to clarify!
  1.Why are there scars?
Any part of the skin that is damaged to the deep dermis will leave a scar after healing, even if it is a very small scratch. Early scars will be red, swollen, painful and itchy, but over time, the scars will slowly flatten out, the color will fade and the whole scar will become less obvious.
  2.What is pathological scar?
If the scar does not recede for a long time after the wound is recovered, and even becomes redder and larger instead, it may be a pathological scar. The formation of pathological scars is related to a variety of factors, whether an individual is prone to scarring (i.e. scarring body) is only one of the internal factors, other factors are also related to race, skin pigmentation, metabolic state, injury site, infection or not, etc.
3.Why do people have raised scars?
Individuals can produce obvious scar growths or even scars from minor trauma due to physical factors, which can only be considered as scarring after excluding the influence of other factors.
The following describes the treatment and therapy of scars
1.Scars with adhesions after neck burns
This is medically known as “scarred cervicothoracic adhesions”, and its degree can be classified as mild, moderate or severe. Mild cervicothoracic adhesions generally have no effect on neck supination; moderate neck supination is restricted; severe ones not only have significantly restricted supination, but also cause lip exostosis, salivation, nasal flank pulling, etc. These patients need timely surgical treatment to avoid causing developmental abnormalities. There are various specific surgical methods, generally based on scar release, excision followed by skin grafting or expander treatment, but it is important to find a very experienced doctor to perform the surgery, which is not only related to aesthetics, but also to health.
  2.What is pathological scar?
After being burned by boiling water, the easiest and most effective first aid is to keep flushing with a large amount of running water to cool down for about 20 minutes. During the rinsing process, care should be taken that the force of the rinsing water should not be too great and that the integrity of the blistered skin after the burn should be preserved as much as possible. If there is clothing, it should be cut off to avoid damaging the integrity of the blister skin in the process of undressing. Do not apply various therapeutic medications to the wound surface by yourself, especially colored substances, so as not to influence the doctor’s judgment of the severity and depth of the burn. After the above-mentioned simple treatment, use an ice pack to apply cold compresses to the trauma to relieve pain, and then immediately go to a specialist hospital or burn orthopedic department for consultation.
3, how to prevent scar growth after being burned by oil
The skin is divided into the superficial epidermis and the deep dermis, the dermis tissue is rich in collagen. Any cause of collagen damage in the deep dermis will produce scar healing. According to the degree of skin burns, burns are classified as first degree, superficial second degree, deep second degree and third degree. Deep II degree burns produce scars when the wound heals because they involve the deeper layers of the dermis.
Currently, the main methods for preventing scar growth after burns are.
① Use of topical medications that inhibit scar growth.
② topical application of silicone anti-scar patches, such as scar patches and melphalan.
③ Compression therapy, which is the most effective, practical and simple economic method. Compression therapy should be long lasting, i.e. to ensure the continuity of compression, insist on compression for more than 22 hours a day, and compression needs to last for 6 to 12 months or longer. The materials used to implement compression include thermoplastic splints, elastic bandages, elastic garments and pants, etc.
Will there be scars for deep II degree burns?
Deep II degree burns are one of the deep burns and will definitely leave scars of varying degrees after healing. Various treatment methods can only restore function or improve the scars, but there is no method that can completely remove the scars because the formation of scars is the result of wound healing, and there is no wound healing without the formation of scars. However, for the same deep burns, the later treatment will directly affect the appearance of the healing. If treated properly, the scars left behind will be relatively inconspicuous, while on the contrary, they may produce high and obvious scars. Scars usually take six months to a year to stabilize, during which time there are also anti-scar treatments that will help soften and shrink the scars.
What happens to scars after a fall?
The development of scars can be divided into three periods, namely the proliferative phase, the decompensative phase and the mature phase. The proliferative period is generally the early stage of scar formation 1-3 months, partly to half a year, a few of them are delayed within 1-2 years, and individual can last for several years. During this period, the scars are actively proliferating, constantly increasing, congested, bright red or purplish red in color, and itching and pain symptoms are present in different degrees, which is the most obvious period in the whole scar development process. Scar tissue proliferation is obvious in the early stage after a fall, so it is not suitable for surgical treatment, and conservative treatment is the main treatment. You can use some anti-scar creams or anti-scar silicone film to control it first, and if the proliferation is serious, you can inject a small amount of hormone to suppress it. Further treatment such as surgery or grinding can be done when the scars reach the receding or mature stage.
  What about scars?
”Scars are a special kind of pathological scars, which can be treated by radiation therapy or hormone injections, but can be easily recurred by surgery alone. There are two main types of pathological scars: hyperplastic scars and scars with scars. The clinical manifestations and pathological changes of the two are relatively similar, while the treatment is completely different, and its difference and treatment requires an interview with a professional doctor.
How to treat the small pits left after acne?
It is recommended to first treat them with laser grinding or microdermabrasion. If new acne is still growing now, it can also be treated with ultraviolet light or redness-removing laser. To completely remove the depressed scars is currently impossible, but currently the pits can be made a little lighter by microdermabrasion. Enlarged pores can also be improved by microdermabrasion.
