There is no name for fatty liver in TCM, which refers to it as accumulation, accumulation of evidence, phlegm, fatty gas, etc. Fatty liver is caused by various etiologies, mainly due to excessive fat deposition in liver cells, which eventually forms fatty liver. Patients with fatty liver must pay attention to the usual dietary management and eat as little fatty food as possible, especially all kinds of fatty meat, fried food and animal offal, and must reduce their intake. The normal fat content of the liver is only about 3%, if it exceeds 5% it shows fatty liver, and in some severe cases it may reach 40%-50% of the fat weight. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the treatment of this disease and actively give liver-protective and anti-inflammatory treatment, which can be reversed in some patients.
