Is HPV a second form of AIDS?

HPV is not a second form of AIDS. HPV is a virus that infects people and does not spread to animals. There are two types of HPV infection in the cervix: 1) high-risk HPV and 2) low-risk HPV. high-risk HPV infection can lead to cervical cancer if the infection is persistent and long-term. However, unlike the AIDS virus, a transient HPV infection is only equivalent to getting a cold in the cervix. Within a certain period of time, it will heal on its own if the immune system is relatively good. If it does not heal on its own, it can be treated with medication to turn HPV negative. AIDS is not the same. AIDS does not heal itself.
