Ten signs before myopia in children

Children may have certain signs before the onset of myopia, i.e., some signs of vision loss, such as decreased distance vision and easy eye fatigue. But there are not as many as ten. Parents should pay attention to observation in the process of childcare, timely detection and early correction of pseudomyopia, to avoid the development of true myopia. 1, loss of distance vision: looking at things crooked, squinting or pulling the corner of the eye with the hand and unconsciously come closer and other symptoms, and even sometimes meet acquaintances without greeting or complaining about not being able to see the blackboard, may be due to the occurrence of myopia children due to the extension of the eye axis, there is a decline in vision to see distant objects 2. Eye fatigue: Children often frown, rub their eyes, blink frequently or lose concentration in both eyes, generally due to the emergence or development of myopia, resulting in children needing to look close to the screen or books for long periods of time, and are prone to eye fatigue; 3. Eye exotropia: Children who appear to see mainly with one eye and have poor vision in the other eye may be myopic and have exotropia at the same time; 4. Convex eye. This is manifested by the outward protrusion of the eyeballs and may be a symptom caused by the development of high myopia in children who develop a lengthening of the eye’s visual axis. In addition, children may also experience poor dark adaptation and double vision when myopia occurs. These phenomena may also indicate the onset of myopia in children, and parents or schools should conduct annual vision examinations for children to prevent the development of myopia and to seek timely medical attention.
