Most phobias have a prolonged course. If the patient is not cured within 1 year of the onset of the disease, it is highly likely that the disease will become chronic and the phobia may exist for several years, the longer the course of the disease, the worse the prognosis. However, the diagnosis of the disease is relatively stable and does not evolve into other psychiatric disorders.
