Warts and HIV are two completely separate diseases and infection with warts does not necessarily mean that a person has HIV. However, both warts and HIV can be transmitted through sexual intercourse, so if a patient is infected with warts through sexual intercourse, they may also be infected with HIV through sexual intercourse. The main test for HIV is a blood test for HIV antigens and antibodies. If the antigens and antibodies are positive, the patient is initially considered to be infected with HIV, and then a confirmatory test is performed. The treatment for warts and HIV is completely different. Warts are treated with laser and medication, while HIV is treated with long-term antiviral medication to inhibit the replication of the HIV virus.
