What are the symptoms of nasal cancer radiotherapy?

The main pathological staging of nasal cancer is squamous cell carcinoma, which is particularly sensitive to radiotherapy. Radiotherapy generally refers to gamma knife and so on, which is done once a day for more than 40 minutes each time, 31 times or longer in a row, and the course of treatment is formulated according to the patient’s condition. At the beginning of radiotherapy, there may be a local burning sensation, and as the treatment continues, the local skin will become darker, like a burning sensation. There will be pain in the throat as well as the head and face, and severe symptoms such as difficulty in swallowing, difficulty in swallowing, dryness and pain in breathing nasal cavity. The radiation from radiotherapy will also damage the normal tissue mucosa and glands, causing the salivary glands to atrophy, resulting in a dry mouth and no saliva secretion. The above adverse reactions can be slowly relieved for about one year after the completion of radiotherapy.
