How the corns of the feet are formed

Corns, commonly known as “flesh spurs”, are limited, cone-shaped keratinous hyperplasia caused by long-term pressure and friction on the skin of the foot. Corns are often found in the front and middle of the foot, at the head of the third metatarsal, and at the tibial edge of the toe. It is usually round or oval, the size of a pinhead to a bean, and is yellowish or dark yellow. Corns are mainly due to long standing or walking, and friction and marking are the main reasons for their formation. Shoes do not fit the foot or too tight, or foot bone deformity, standing or walking so that the foot suffered from friction or pressure parts of the corneal layer thickened and constantly advancing inward, the formation of the top inward conical keratin material. As this substance stimulates the nerve endings in the dermal papillae, it causes pain when standing or walking. Treatment of corns can be done by applying corns ointment externally or applying corns ointment externally, or by using crystal ointment, etc. Treatment methods such as freezing or laser can also be used. The freezing method of treatment mainly uses liquid nitrogen at more than -190 degrees Celsius to freeze the affected skin. If corns seriously affect your life, you can also treat them through surgery. To prevent the occurrence of corns, friction and squeezing of the feet should be reduced. Shoes should be soft, comfortable and well-fitting, insoles should also be thicker or sponge pads, and if there is toe deformity should be corrected in time.
