Will corns go away on their own?

Whether corns can disappear on their own depends on their severity. Corns are calluses, which are hard in texture and usually result from feet wearing uncomfortable shoes for a long time or after a long period of frictional stimulation. If the symptoms of corns are mild, the skin surface is flat or slightly elevated, and the pain is mild, the corns on the feet can gradually recover and disappear after the patient changes to looser, more comfortable shoes, but the recovery time is slow, usually taking about 1 year. If corns cause pain in the feet and painful walking, simply by correcting bad habits and foot massage methods, it does not make the corns relieve themselves. In this case, professional treatment by a dermatologist, such as topical medication and surgical removal, is required. If the patient’s corns often recur in daily life, attention should be drawn to determine whether there is a foot deformity, and timely consultation with orthopedics or plastic surgery is recommended for correction.
