Yellow tumors of the eyelids are a type of yellow tumor of the skin that often develops on the eyelids, mostly in middle-aged women, and are flat and symmetrical. There is no discomfort, and the development is slow and does not eliminate on its own. The specific pathogenesis may be due to the accumulation of lipids in the cells and dermis. Some patients may have hyperlipidemia, some may have liver or biliary tract obstruction, and some may have a genetic history. Yellow tumors can be treated by removing or destroying the tumor, by surgery or by laser. If hyperlipidemia is present, lipid-lowering and dietary therapies are available.
