Sciatica is a syndrome characterized by radiating pain along the sciatic nerve pathway (lumbar, hip, posterior thigh, posterior lateral calf and lateral foot). This disease has been recognized in Chinese medicine for a long time, and it was called “sitting hip wind”, “leg and femur wind” and “lumbar and leg pain” in ancient literature. In Ling Shu. The symptoms of the foot and solar bladder meridian are described as “spinal pain, the waist seems to be broken, the thighs cannot be bent, the N is like a knot, the end (standing side for the moon side) is like a crack ……”, which describes the clinical manifestations of this disease. It is believed that the waist flash, strain, trauma and other reasons can damage the tendons and veins, resulting in stagnation of qi and blood, and pain if it does not pass; living in wet places for a long time, or wading in water, rain, thin clothing, sweating when the wind, wind-cold dampness invasion, paralysis and obstruction of the waist and legs; or damp-heat evil invasion, or dampness and turbidity into heat for a long time, or the body contains damp-heat, flowing into the foot sun, shaoyang meridians. All of these can lead to low back and leg pain. It mainly belongs to the foot sun and shaoyang meridians and meridians. Treatment】 1. Basic treatment Treatment: Drain the meridians and channels, move Qi and relieve pain, acupuncture and moxibustion, and diarrhea. Prescriptions: foot sun and foot shaoyang meridian acupuncture points are the main ones. (1) Foot Sun meridian type: Huanjiao Yanglingquan Chibian Chengfu Yinmen Guizhong Chengshan Kunlun (2) Foot Shaoyang meridian type: Huanjiao Yanglingquan Fengshui Knee Yangguan Yangfu Hangzhong Foot Linobu Formula: Since sciatica has two types of pain radiating along the Foot Sun meridian and the Foot Shaoyang meridian, the acupoints of the Foot Sun meridian and the Foot Shaoyang meridian are taken along the meridian to de-block the blocked qi and blood of the two meridians, so as to achieve the therapeutic purpose of “no pain if it passes”. The purpose of treatment is to “pass the pain”. The point is a meeting point of the two meridians, one point can pass through the two meridians; Yanglingquan is a meeting point of the tendons, which can unblock the tendons and relieve pain, so it can be generalized. Addition and subtraction: for those with lumbosacral pain, add Kidney Yu, Large Intestine Yu, Lumbar Yangguan, Lumbar Jiaoji, and A-Yi points to de-regulate the qi of the lumbar meridians; for those related to weather changes, add moxibustion of Dazhi and A-Yi points to warm the meridians and relieve pain; for those with qi stagnation and blood stasis, add Diaphragm Yu, Hegu, and Tai Chong to resolve stasis and relieve pain. Operation: All acupuncture points are routinely needled, using the twisting and turning diarrhea method, so that the downward radiating sensation along the waist and legs of the foot sun meridian and foot shaoyang meridian is preferred. 2.Other therapies (1) Acupuncture and cupping: using skin needles to pierce the lumbosacral region; or using trigeminal needles to pierce and bleed at the pressure pain points, and adding cupping. (2) Electro-acupuncture: take the lumbar 4 to 5 joints, Yanglingquan or Zhizhong for rootiness; take Chibian or Huanjiao, Yanglingquan or Zhizhong for dryness. After acupuncture, pass electricity, with dense or sparse waves, the amount of stimulation gradually from moderate to strong. (3) Acupoint injection: use 10-20 ml of 10% glucose injection, add 100 mg of vitamin B1 or add 100ug of vitamin B12 to the mixture, inject the lumbar 2-4 pinch points and Chichibian, etc., lift slightly upward when a strong downward-radiating needle sensation appears, and push the liquid quickly, 5-10 ml per point. 5-10 ml of 1% procaine injection can also be used when the pain is severe, and inject it into the A-Ye point or ring jump point.
