Tetralogy of Fallot is the most common complex congenital heart disease, and with the advancement of surgical techniques, there are now many patients after radical surgery, some of whom gradually develop massive regurgitation in the pulmonary valve, which in turn leads to decreased cardiac function, etc., manifested by easy fatigue, decreased mobility, and arrhythmias. However, many patients and their families do not pay attention to regular review of the heart. However, if they miss the best time for treatment, they face irretrievable health. Therefore, in response to this situation, experts at Fu Wai Hospital urge patients after radical surgery for tetralogy of Fallot to undergo regular follow-up examinations, including cardiac ultrasound, ECG and chest X-ray.
Fu Wai Hospital is one of the world’s largest centers for heart disease diagnosis and treatment, and is renowned at home and abroad for treating a wide range of complex, difficult and serious cardiovascular diseases, leading the list of the best hospitals in China in terms of specialty reputation by an absolute margin for six consecutive years. Fu Wai Hospital places great importance on the long-term outcome of these patients and offers free expert cardiac ultrasound, cardiac MRI and cardiopulmonary exercise testing if needed. Patients who have undergone surgical orthopedic procedures at Fu Wai Hospital or other hospitals are eligible to participate. We will be the first to arrange for an extra number of expert outpatient clinics with Professor Li Shoujun, Director of the Pediatric Cardiac Surgery (Precardiac Surgery) Center at Fu Wai Hospital. Priority will be given to the Director of the Precardiac Ultrasound Department for cardiac ultrasound and other related examinations to shorten the consultation time and obtain professional treatment.
