How to store insulin

There are different precautions for the storage of insulin in different states of use.
1. Unused insulin: It should be refrigerated in a refrigerator at 2~8°C and should not be close to the freezer of the refrigerator, insulin should not be frozen.
2. Insulin in use or spare parts to be carried: Insulin in use or spare parts can be stored naturally at room temperature for four weeks, but the room temperature should not exceed 30°C.
3. Insulin used for the first time: first remove the insulin from the refrigerator, and then remix and use it after it has reached room temperature.
4. Other precautions: Insulin must be stored in a way that avoids high temperatures and excessive light, it should be stored in the outer carton protected from light and used within the expiration date labeled on the carton.
It is recommended to store insulin under the guidance of a doctor.
