Is frequent fatigue a cancer?

Fatigue is not a specific symptom, but can be caused by many reasons, the most common of which are physiological factors such as lack of sleep, lack of nutritional supplements and excessive exercise.
In addition, many diseases can also cause fatigue. Different diseases can cause different degrees of fatigue; endocrine system diseases such as chronic fatigue syndrome, diabetes and hypothyroidism can cause fatigue, psychological factors such as depression and neurasthenia can cause fatigue, and various wasting diseases such as anaemia, tuberculosis and malignant tumours can also cause fatigue.
In particular, as cancer progresses to its terminal stage, patients may experience fatigue in addition to weight loss, weakness and symptoms related to the invasive site of the cancer.
If a patient suspects that fatigue is due to pathological factors, prompt hospital consultation is recommended.
