Paediatric Gaucher disease is a familial disease and is difficult to cure. Current treatments include enzyme replacement therapy, symptomatic treatment, splenectomy, gene therapy and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation, which can be used to improve growth and development, reduce the likelihood of complications and improve the quality of life of the child.
