How long does sperm survive?

The length of sperm survival time has a lot to do with the environment in which they live. In different environments, sperm may survive for a few minutes or survive for 3-5 days, and some may even survive for a long time. Sperm prefer a warm, moist environment. After male ejaculation, if sperm fall on the surface of dry objects such as bed sheets, sperm will follow and die when the semen dries. If sperm can enter a woman’s fallopian tube, they may generally survive for 4-8 hours. If it is in the woman’s uterus, it may survive for about 72 hours because the pH level in the uterus is more suitable for the sperm to survive. And in the unique sperm bank, the sperm can survive for a long time in this environment because it is always cryopreserved.
