How much metronidazole to take at a time for trichomoniasis patients

There are two ways to take metronidazole for trichomoniasis patients: 1. 2g at a time, i.e. 10 tablets of metronidazole at a time, and the course of treatment is over; 2. 0.4g at a time, twice a day, for 5-7 days, i.e. two tablets at a time, twice a day. In most cases, it is better to take it at once, but you can choose the method of taking it according to your personal situation. It is recommended that both husband and wife take metronidazole tablets together to prevent cross-infection. At the same time, metronidazole suppositories or diazoxide gel should be placed vaginally for 5-7 days. After the next menstrual period, the leucorrhoea routine should be rechecked and at least 2-3 courses of treatment should be consolidated according to the test results to prevent recurrence.
