Lung cancer invading the pleura is several stages

The stage of lung cancer accumulating in the pleura should be determined on a case-by-case basis, with stage IIb if there are lymph node metastases, stage III if there are no corresponding lymph metastases, and stage IV if there is malignant pleural effusion.

Patients with lung cancer that has metastasized or invaded other organs are mostly ineligible for surgical treatment, but a comprehensive assessment should be made based on the patient’s specific situation and other test results, and some patients still have a chance for surgical resection. In addition, the patient can choose a combination of molecular targeted therapy, radiotherapy and chemotherapy to reduce pain, improve quality of life and prolong survival.

Lung cancer is more likely to invade the pleura, so if a patient has lung cancer that invades the pleura, he or she should go to a regular hospital for a detailed examination to determine the stage of lung cancer based on the specific situation and decide on the treatment based on the results of the examination.
