1, the concept of exhibitionism exhibitionism is a sexual deviation phenomenon in which the genitals are publicly exposed in front of the opposite sex in an inappropriate environment, causing a nervous emotional response from the opposite sex, thus obtaining sexual pleasure. This is a relatively common sexual deviant behavior, the majority of male patients, women are very rare, the ratio of men to women is 14:1. 2, the etiology of exhibitionism The causes of exhibitionism is still inconclusive. From the clinical cases, many perverted sexual psychology and sexual behavior is often related to the causes of life, especially with early psychosexual events. They often have the experience of sexual pleasure and satisfaction by means of exhibitionism. Later, if repeatedly practiced, this can reinforce into perverted sexual behavior. Some people also become exhibitionists because of character defects, lack of normal channels of sexual catharsis and satisfaction, and marital failure leading to sexual repression or stimulation. In addition, it can also be seen in people with low intelligence or mental illness. The clinical manifestations of exhibitionism vary in the way that people with exhibitionism expose their pussy. Some people with exhibitionism use early morning or dusk to expose their pussy in the streets or parks where there are not too many people; some choose to expose their private parts in crowded public places, such as on the bus; some people with exhibitionism stand at windows, balconies, or doorways to expose their pussy to passers-by. Most of them are satisfied just by exposing their genitals to make the opposite sex afraid, and some of them also try to touch their genitals to each other’s body or stimulate each other with words to get sexual pleasure. They are generally not violent towards each other, and mostly leave the scene quickly after exposing their pussy. The extent to which they expose their bodies is also inconsistent, with men mostly exposing only their genitals, women showing mostly their breasts, and very few exposing their whole bodies. Diagnosis of exhibitionism: Repeatedly exposing one’s genitals in front of a stranger to the opposite sex to satisfy the strong desire to cause sexual excitement is almost exclusively seen in men. Diagnostic criteria: (1) the tendency to repeatedly or continuously expose one’s genitals to strangers (usually of the opposite sex), almost always accompanied by sexual arousal and masturbation; (2) no desire or request for sexual intercourse with the “exposed object”; (3) this tendency has existed for at least 6 months. 5, the treatment of exhibitionism patients are mostly aware, so they are often very chagrined afterwards, especially after being arrested as “hooligans” is ashamed and regretful. However, when faced with the urge to expose their pussy, it is difficult to control themselves, and often the impulse overcomes reason, and there are repeated acts of crime. From the current treatment of patients with exhibitionism, psychotherapy is the most effective, and the most commonly used effective treatment methods are: (1) aversion therapy. That is, the patient is induced to imagine the behavior of exhibitionism at the same time, given a malignant stimulus, such as the use of electric currents or rubber bands to stimulate the wrist, skin and even genital organs, or intramuscular injection of emetic drugs to make them vomit, to destroy the patient’s pathological conditioned reflexes, in order to strengthen the inhibition until the dissipation of the established conditioned reflexes. (2) Apprehension therapy. The patient is guided to recall the relevant life experiences in early childhood to find the root cause of exhibitionism, and then analyze the harmfulness of exhibitionism and the mechanism of its production from the superficial to the deep, so that the patient can realize that this behavior is a reproduction of the sexual play behavior in childhood. In early childhood, the sexual experience of having fun with the external genitalia of the opposite sex or same-sex partners, showing off the genitalia naked or in front of adults, watching adults of the opposite sex take a naked bath or urinate or defecate, etc. has been forgotten but has not disappeared and remains in the subconscious. After the adult encounter major trauma or sexual repression, or due to the personality constraint, the inability to explain these worries, will unconsciously use the way of early childhood to release and vent adult worries, which is one of the main reasons for the production of perverted behavior of exhibitionism. The few patients who have not reached sexual maturity since early childhood, i.e., those who have never stopped sexual activities in their early childhood, should also be made aware of the infantile nature of their behavior. Through counseling, the patient should realize that the mature sexual behavior is to satisfy the sexual psychology by genital intercourse of both sexes, and that any behavior that does not use the opposite sex as the object or does not use the genital intercourse of both sexes to obtain the highest sexual psychological satisfaction is perverted. With cognitive comprehension, most patients can mature their sexual psychology and thus correct their sexual perverted behavior. In addition, scientific sex education and efforts to develop a sound character are among the ways to prevent and treat exhibitionism.
