Early Childhood Intervention

  Infant and toddler development is holistic, comprehensive, continuous, and complex. Some infants and toddlers may have problems in all aspects of their motor, intellectual, language, visual, and auditory development due to early central nervous system damage or underdevelopment. Early Childhood Intervention and Rehabilitation is a medical service that provides systematic medical examination, regular monitoring, early intervention and rehabilitation for these infants and children.
  Which babies need regular monitoring?
  1. Premature birth i.e. gestational age < 37 weeks.
  2, birth weight < 2500g or > 4000g.
  3. perinatal asphyxia, including intrauterine distress and postnatal Apgar score of 0-7.
  4. Neonatal ischemic-hypoxic encephalopathy.
  5, neonatal intracranial hemorrhage.
  6, neonatal hypoglycemia, severe pneumonia, hyperbilirubinemia, etc.
  7, newborns born to high-risk mothers (high-age pregnancy, gestational hypertension, gestational diabetes, etc.).
  Babies need to be promptly seen in the following cases.
  1, full-term head erectness.
  2.2 months, no response to teasing.
  3.3 months old, unable to lift the head
  4.4 months clenched fist with inward thumb.
  5.4-5 months of age, sitting, no back support when holding vertically.
  6.5 months in prone position, arms cannot support the body.
  7.6 months old when holding standing, toes on the ground.
  8.4 months old cannot turn over sideways, 6 months old cannot turn over completely.
  9, 8 months cannot sit alone.
  10. very quiet, rarely crying and rarely laughing.
  11.Frequent shaking of head, hands and lower limbs.
