Shortness of breath in pregnant women is a subjective feeling of the patient, mostly manifesting as laboured breathing, insufficient breath or shallow and rapid breathing or even a feeling of suffocation after pregnancy, with no noticeable sensation in mild cases, but unbearable in severe cases, as if a stone is pressed against the chest, or even breathing difficulties.
