1.Discontinue drugs that affect the patient’s gastric motility and monitor and control blood glucose in diabetic patients. 2.Nutritional support, replenish water, electrolytes and nutrients. 3.Treat with prokinetic drugs and antiemetics. 4.Severe cases (dehydration, intractable vomiting) should be hospitalised and may be treated with fasting and parallel gastrointestinal decompression. 5. For refractory gastroparesis, endoscopic treatment, electrical pacing of the stomach and surgery are options.
