How many years you can live with a heart stent at age 43

The length of life after cardiac stenting at the age of 43 years old needs to be analyzed according to the specific condition of the patient. Generally speaking, the long-term life expectancy and quality of life of the patient will not be affected after stenting. Cardiac stents are used clinically to treat myocardial infarction caused by severe stenosis or occlusion of the coronary arteries. If the patient is maintained with good medication after cardiac stenting, combined with lifestyle interventions, the patient’s life expectancy may be the same as that of a normal person. However, if patients still do not change their previous bad habits after cardiac stenting, such as smoking, drinking, straining, staying up late, not taking oral medications on time, or accompanied by other serious underlying diseases, there is a possibility of reoccurrence of acute myocardial infarction, which usually results in a poor prognosis for patients and can be directly life-threatening in severe cases. Therefore, it is recommended that patients with heart disease should pay attention to a low-salt and low-fat diet, take their medications regularly as prescribed by their doctors, improve their living habits, and actively control their underlying diseases such as blood sugar and blood lipids.
