Plasmacytoid mastitis is by far the more complex benign disease of the breast and has a long course of treatment, usually taking 3-6 months, with longer ones taking about a year, and may recur. In early stages of plasmacytoid mastitis, a breast lump may appear, and surgery may be considered when it is more limited, at which point surgery may achieve a radical cure. However, sometimes the disease develops more rapidly and involves a large area, and a purulent phase of infection may quickly appear, when incision and drainage is generally not recommended. If there is a localized abscess, local puncture and drainage can be done, and after anti-inflammatory and other supportive treatments, if local sinus tracts are formed or the mass is confined, surgery can be considered again and faster treatment can be achieved. However, if there is infection, the incision will take at least 3-6 months to heal after incision and drainage, and the overall healing is slow, and there is no special drug treatment, basically consider the combination of Chinese and Western medicine.
