May Day is a holiday for every doctor, and in this crowd of dedication and love, hand surgeons witness every touch of a hand restored with a hand. We are faced with so many laborers who have achieved respect for the ordinary with perfect techniques of reimplantation of severed fingers! I can’t forget the continuous surgery of more than 30 hours, the strict training of the teachers, and applaud myself and the energetic young team! I can’t help but fly back to 11 years ago, when I was studying at the All-Army Hand Surgery Center. Prof. Cheng Guoliang, a famous hand surgeon who is very old, once said to us: Even if it is late, even in the early hours of the morning, you can call me to come and see patients who are difficult to deal with, don’t give up on every patient who needs to have a severed finger reimplanted, and make sure to do your best. Today I can proudly tell my teacher that I have never given up on a single patient, and that our reimplantation technology has made the world proud of China!
