How often should I have a gastroscopy for pancreatitis?

Patients with pancreatitis are usually advised to have their gastroscopy reviewed 1 month after treatment is completed and the medication is stopped.
If there is gastric disease, it needs to be reviewed once every six months or so, or the next review can be decided depending on the patient’s recovery. However, patients are not advised to have frequent gastroscopy reviews as this may cause repeated irritation and trigger damage to the mucosa, leading to prolonged illness.
Patients with pancreatitis should pay attention to adjusting their diet during the treatment process, and try to choose a light diet, which can provide significant relief to the stomach.
