Premature beats may be asymptomatic or may present with panic and a feeling of cardiac arrest. On auscultation, irregular heart rhythms with long gaps after premature beats may be detected. If the premature beats are more severe, the symptoms will be obvious. Frequent premature beats can lead to hemodynamic disturbances, which can cause symptoms such as weakness and dizziness. If the patient also has a combination of coronary artery disease or heart failure, it may lead to aggravation of coronary artery disease or heart failure. For patients, self-diagnosis can be initially determined by touching one’s pulse and observing the feeling of pulse pause.
