Analysis of snoring treatment methods and precautions

How to cure snoring and how many kinds of snoring treatment methods are there? There are many kinds of snoring treatment methods, let’s take a look at the seven methods of snoring treatment, are you still bothered by snoring? Then let’s take a look at the following methods together. 1.Radiofrequency ablation therapy: suitable for mild to moderate snoring patients, using plasma cryogenic elimination system to reduce the volume of hypertrophic tissue in the pharynx, this method is simple, less traumatic, no bleeding, and generally can be treated in an outpatient clinic. 2.Tranasal positive pressure ventilation treatment: The air is pressurized by a special ventilator to blow open the patient’s airway, which is no longer blocked, and cure the complications of airway obstruction and lack of oxygen. This method is non-invasive, but the patient needs to wear a nasal mask when sleeping, and should be under the guidance of a specialist physician to purchase and use the ventilator. 3.Oral appliance treatment: A special dilator is put into the pharyngeal cavity at bedtime to enlarge the pharyngeal cavity and reduce the upper airway resistance. Because of the discomfort of having to put the dilator in the mouth at bedtime, it is not easy for patients to accept. 4.Medication: If there is no great improvement in the treatment of conservative therapy, you can try the medication. Now medical research confirms that the main reason for snoring is the narrowing and obstruction of the nasopharynx, oropharynx, soft palate and tongue root, which, together with the relaxation of the soft tissues of the pharynx and the backward fall of the tongue root during sleep, causes the airflow not to pass freely through the airway of the pharynx. At present, there are many drugs that can treat snoring at home and abroad. Acetazolamide and thyroxine tablets promote metabolism and have certain efficacy, which can be relieved during taking the drugs, but cannot be cured. 5.Surgical treatment for snoring: surgical treatment is suitable for patients with redundant soft tissue deformities (such as tonsil hypertrophy, soft palate and tongue hypertrophy in obese patients) and hard tissue deformities (such as small mandibular deformities, etc.) leading to narrowing, or obstruction of the upper airway. For patients with central or mixed sleep apnea mainly due to central causes and obstructive sleep apnea caused by neuro-muscular dysfunction of the upper airway, the effect of surgical treatment is poor. 6, snoring prescription treatment: (1) ten grams each of gentian grass and angelica. Simmering method: soak for more than 1 hour, pour the water over a fast fire for 20 minutes, pour out the water and then simmer the second time in the same way. Mix the two times together and take it in two doses. (2) pepper 5 to 10 grains, every night before going to bed with boiling water soak a cup of water, wait until the water cools down and take (pepper does not take), even 5 days. (3) The pillow should not be too high, and the effect of nasal drops before going to bed is good (4) As long as 3 to 4 drops of mouthwash are diluted with warm water before going to bed, gargling can make the snoring weaken and stop. This gargle contains a kind of resin oil, which has the effect of stopping snoring and can meet the blood supply of the mucous membrane of the throat, so that the mucous membrane of the throat cavity is in a full state of blood supply, and the soft palate and the uvula will not vibrate due to relaxation. 7. Conservative treatment: (1) Weight loss treatment: snorers are generally accompanied by obesity and increased fat in the whole body, which can easily cause narrowing or blockage of the anatomical parts of the upper airway, resulting in obstructive sleep apnea. (2) Adopt a lateral sleep position, especially the right lateral sleep position, to avoid the tongue, soft palate and uvula from falling back during sleep and aggravating the blockage of upper airway. A small ball can be placed on the back during sleep to help keep the lateral sleep position compulsory. (3) Use snore stopper during sleep. The principle is that the patient’s lower jaw is fixed in a proper anterior extension position by means of an individually formulated appliance placed in the mouth, and the anterior extension of the lower jaw makes the chin and tongue muscles pull the tongue body forward, so that the respiratory channel at the back of the tongue is opened; at the same time, the forward movement of the tongue reduces the pressure of the tongue body on the uvula, and its posterior respiratory channel is also opened, thus increasing the ventilation, improving oxygen supply, eliminating or reducing snoring, and enabling the patient to get effective treatment. This treatment method is non-invasive, low cost and effective; the disadvantage is that patients need a few days to adapt to wearing snore stopper to sleep. The advantage of surgical treatment is that it is effective and crisp, and both sleep breathing disorder and craniofacial deformity can be relieved at the same time. The disadvantages are: there are certain risks, a certain degree of pain in the short term and possible complications. In obese patients it must be combined with bariatric treatment, and weight gain after surgery is one of the main causes of recurrence. Bariatric treatment is an important part of obesity with sleep apnea and an important means to prevent postoperative recurrence. According to the report, China has become an obese country, and according to the data, the prevalence of obesity among adults in Shanghai is over 30%, and obesity is the most common cause of sleep apnea. It is difficult to lose weight and even more difficult to control the rebound. Obesity and related disorders are a serious challenge for human beings in the new century. Weight loss is mainly achieved by controlling intake, absorption and increasing consumption for therapeutic purposes. Diet control, exercise and medication are the common means, and even surgery can be performed for serious obese patients.
