Is it normal for a woman to pee three or four times at night?

It is normal for women to urinate 0-1 times at night, and 3-4 times at night can be called increased nocturia, which is an abnormal condition and requires appropriate measures after clarifying the cause. Women who urinate more at night may have overactive bladder, which is caused by abnormalities in the nerves that govern the pelvic floor muscles and stimulate the bladder. This condition may also be caused by a past history of childbirth, or older age and relaxation of the pelvic floor muscles, which can be exercised to relieve the symptoms. In addition, there is also the possibility of frequent nocturnal urination due to mental factors, forcing the patient to get up in the middle of the night to urinate several times each night, which becomes a habit over time. Therefore, it is recommended to pay attention not to drink too much water two hours before bedtime, eat a light diet, avoid spicy and stimulating diet, pay more attention to rest, relieve mental stress, and do exercises for the pelvic floor muscles under the guidance of a doctor, which are conducive to the relief of symptoms.
