II. Treatment history
We told the parents that pharyngeal tonsillar hypertrophy could lead to facial dysplasia, uneven teeth, and even decreased intelligence due to lack of oxygen. After the parents understood the danger, they agreed to undergo surgical treatment and were given plasma hypopharyngeal tonsil hypertrophy excision and postoperative anti-infection treatment with cefradine injection.
III. Treatment effect
After surgical removal of the enlarged pharyngeal tonsils, the nasopharyngeal obstruction was lifted, the nasal cavity was ventilated, the snoring and open-mouth breathing symptoms disappeared, and the patient no longer repeatedly turned over and snored during sleep. IV. Notes
I am glad that after active treatment, the child’s symptoms of snoring and open-mouth breathing disappeared.
