There are a lot of Chinese patent medicines for chronic pancreatitis, commonly used are Pancreatic Bile Shu Granules, Pancreatic Cholangitis Combination, etc. Chinese patent medicines need to be used to treat the symptoms, there is no such thing as a “specialized treatment”.
1. Pancreatic and Gallbladder Relief Granules is mainly composed of turmeric, oyster, Yanhuisuo, rhubarb, red peony, dandelion, and Chaihu, which has the efficacy of invigorating blood circulation and relieving pain (relieving pain by removing stasis of blood), and promoting the flow of Qi and removing stasis of blood, and is mainly used in the treatment of acute and chronic pancreatitis, as well as gallbladder inflammation in the group of people who have stagnation of Qi and blood stasis (stagnation of blood because of lack of smooth flow of Qi), and internalized heat and toxin.
The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not clear.
2. Pancreatic and Cholangitis Combination is composed of Chai Hu, Scutellaria baicalensis, Radix Paeoniae Alba, Dandelion, Bei Shengjiao, Fahanxia, Citrus aurantium, Magnoliae, Rhubarb and Glycyrrhiza glabra, which is effective in clearing away dampness-heat of the liver and gallbladder (dampness-heat evils accumulating in the liver and gallbladder), and can be used in treating diseases such as acute pancreatitis and acute cholecystitis.
The adverse effects and contraindications of this drug are not clear.
