Why early rehabilitation education for deaf children is important?

The age of 0-3 is the fastest growing period of a child’s brain and the most critical period for learning language. 7 years old is the best period and 7-12 years old is the plastic period. If deafness occurs at this time, it will seriously affect the child’s hearing and speech development. By using appropriate hearing aids (or using cochlear implants if they are ineffective) as early as possible, so that the deaf child can receive various sound and speech stimuli in the arms of parents and get scientific rehabilitation training, the deaf child’s development in all aspects will be close to that of normal children, and the quality of rehabilitation will be higher. Therefore, early detection of deafness, early use of appropriate hearing aids and early rehabilitation training become an important principle in the rehabilitation of deaf children, i.e. the principle of early intervention. Principles of language training for children: 1. Focus on the usability of language and teach in interaction. 2. Understanding comes before expression. 3. Take an intuitive and interesting form of training. 4.Find opportunities to speak in everyday life. 5.Take a variety of means such as making scrapbooks or telling stories. 6.Encourage children to speak on their own, do not replace or over-care. 7.Do not let the child perform in front of others. 8.Explain carefully. 9.Emphasize the integrity of the language. 10. Enrich the amount of vocabulary of the deaf child in large quantities. 11. Focus on language repetition and consolidation. 12.Listen to the child’s language and repeat the correct one when the child makes a mistake. 13.Progress step by step and persevere. 14.For deaf children over the age of three, correct the child’s pronunciation when it is found to be inaccurate. 15.Look at the child with a positive mind and an appreciative eye.
