When does chest pain disappear in pregnancy

Chest pain is common in pregnancy and most of it is a normal physiological phenomenon. Due to individual differences, the duration of pain may vary. Chest pain in pregnancy is caused by changes in estrogen and progesterone in the patient’s body, which stimulate the mammary glands and lead to chest pain, and may be accompanied by darkening of the nipples and areolas and increased sebaceous glands around the areola. In most patients, breast pain lasts until about 3 months after pregnancy, when the placenta gradually develops and takes shape, which can play a role in reducing the level of sex hormones in the body, thus alleviating breast pain, but in some pregnant women, breast pain can last throughout pregnancy. If the pain in the breasts is more intense, it cannot be ruled out that the pain is caused by diseases, such as breast enlargement and mastitis. If your breasts are accompanied by abnormalities such as nodules, lumps or nipple discharge, it is recommended that you go to the hospital for a timely checkup to prevent the nodules or tumors from deteriorating. You can use hot water bags or hot towels to apply local heat, or use massage to accelerate local blood circulation and relieve chest pain. Choose to wear soft and loose-fitting underwear or other clothing to avoid compression of the chest to avoid aggravating the pain.
