Within 1 week of delivery, the nightmare is bloody, with a lot of bleeding and a small amount of blood clots, sometimes bright red, sometimes dark red, which is normal. In the first 2 weeks after delivery, it is plasma nightmare, which is lighter in color, sometimes pink, but still more abundant. During the 3-4 weeks after delivery, white nightmare is seen, when the vaginal discharge is relatively less and sometimes a little pink. Some people may have a longer duration of plasma discharge, but it will stop within 42 days because after 42 days, the uterus, vagina and external genitalia will be back to normal.
