To prevent and treat amblyopia in children, parents should have “three hearts”

Because they can’t see clearly, they don’t learn well, and they fall down when they walk, they are often laughed at by other children. They have no friends, and even their families and teachers do not understand them. For a long time, they grow up in the shadow of being laughed at, which makes them form a serious autistic psychology and seriously affects their heart health, study and life. Second, affect learning, career choice and life Amblyopia leads to the inability of both eyes to form stereo vision, because the brain can only get the visual signal from the unilateral healthy eye input, the brain can not form a stereo image, will lead to the patient has no stereo imagination ability. The prevention and treatment of amblyopia should be done with “three hearts”: carefulness, persistence and patience. First of all, carefulness. Parents should pay attention to the child’s eyes, and find that the child is always squinting, frowning and tilting his head when looking at things. Watching TV closer and closer, two eyes can not look in the same direction, you need to immediately take the child to the regular hospital to ask the ophthalmologist examination. The second is persistence. Before the child’s visual development is fully mature, the amblyopia condition can be repeated. Therefore, parents should be persistent in bringing their children to the hospital for regular follow-up. During the treatment period, follow-up visits to the hospital are usually once a month for the first 6 months, and every 3 months to 6 months thereafter, for at least 3 years. The last thing is patience. The current approach to dealing with amblyopia varies from person to person and generally uses a combination of therapies, including etiological treatment. Refractive error correction with lenses and visual stimulation therapy are common amblyopia treatment methods, and the most widely used clinically. One of the most economical and effective ways to treat amblyopia in children is monocular masking therapy, which requires parents to be patient and help their children complete the treatment.
