How to count fetal movements in the 7th month of pregnancy

The seventh month of pregnancy, i.e., 28 weeks of pregnancy, is a late stage of pregnancy, and pregnant women are usually required to count their own fetal movements, which normally range from 3-5 movements/hour, or 30-40 movements in a 12-hour period. In general, fetal movement begins to appear at 18-20 weeks, and at 28 weeks of pregnancy, pregnant women are routinely asked to start counting their own fetal movements to determine whether the fetus is suffering from intrauterine hypoxia. The method of counting fetal movement can be judged according to every hour or every 12 hours, generally the number of fetal movements per hour is required to be 3-5 times, also can be counted in the morning, midday and evening respectively for one hour, the number of fetal movements in the three hours will be multiplied by 4 after adding up the number of fetal movements, that is, the number of fetal movements in 12 hours. Pregnant women counting fetal movement should be carried out in a quiet environment, and it is best to choose the left side of the lying position, to maintain a calm mood, focus attention, put your hand on the abdomen to feel the fetal movement, as far as possible to ensure that the data is accurate. Fetal movement can be counted at a fixed time every day, and should be counted every day, in order to timely detection of fetal abnormalities. Under normal circumstances, fetal movement in 12 hours should be more than 30 times, less than 20 times need to be closely observed, less than 10 times need to be admitted to the hospital to detect the problem, especially after 32 weeks of pregnancy need to be carried out fetal heart rate monitoring, to clarify whether there is intrauterine hypoxia, and start targeted treatment as soon as possible to prevent adverse consequences.
