What is frontotemporal endoscopic wrinkle reduction?

Recently, some people have questioned the effectiveness of endoscopic wrinkle reduction, and even some cosmetic surgeons have echoed this. The reason for this is that most people, including many cosmetic surgeons, have not yet mastered the technology and connotations of endoscopic wrinkle removal, and even some cosmetic institutions are only taking endoscopic wrinkle removal technology to advertise and lure consumers, and are only making small incisions to remove wrinkles without doing so in the true sense of the word. The history of wrinkle removal surgery is long, the English is facelift, literally has the meaning of lifting. Facial wrinkle reduction mainly addresses facial sagging and wrinkles. What the traditional large incision facelift technique is able to achieve, the endoscopic technique has completely exceeded in the frontotemporal area (forehead lines, frown lines, nasal root lines and crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes). This requires the use of an endoscope to assist us in doing what we can do with large incisions, and even using the high-definition magnification of the endoscope to do it more precisely and perfectly than large incisions for wrinkle removal. In terms of removing wrinkles, the results are long-term (lifelong) because the driving force that creates the wrinkles is removed, making it a once-and-for-all option for those who rely on Botox injections for wrinkle removal. We currently have up to eight years of proven cases. The concept of endoscopic wrinkle reduction has been promoted in China since the early 90s, but has never been reported in a spectacular way. Through anatomical research and clinical practice, the authors have perfected the theory of endoscopic wrinkle reduction by combining the characteristics of the Chinese people. The technique has gradually become proficient and precise, and the number of practice cases has increased from a dozen cases per year at the beginning to several cases per week now, with satisfactory results, attracting a large number of candidates. Another concept that needs to be clarified is that it is possible to better master endoscopic wrinkle removal techniques only after first doing a good job of large incision wrinkle removal surgery, because the latter is more localized and requires a more holistic concept. Therefore, the patient should not completely divorce the endoscopic wrinkle removal technique from the traditional facelift technique. During the consultation, the surgeon will choose the appropriate procedure for the individual case. For those who have extremely loose skin on the cheeks and cannot be flattened after lifting without peeling, it is still necessary to make an appropriate incision for peeling (facelift).
